Miss Dizzy
In May 2002, Dizzy started the Dizzy’s Tumblebus business. She was a busy mom of two working full time as an environmental engineer. After many years of consulting, she wanted to do something a bit more rewarding that would involve her passion for working with young children. So she quit her job and bought a big yellow bus. Since the business began in 2002, Dizzy has had another child, added a 2nd Tumblebus and opened an indoor play and learn facility called Dizzy’s Bus Stop. She loves having her family involved in so many aspects of the business. Her children are always eager to test out new lesson plans, and she’s been lucky enough to have her two youngest siblings move to Seattle to be a part of the Dizzybus Team. With her husband’s support and a great team of teachers she has been able to turn Dizzybus into a successful company providing a wonderful learning experience for young children. Just watch out because you never know what Dizzy is going to create next!
Miss GG
GG has been part of the Dizzybus Team since March 2005. She is from Lake Oswego, Oregon and moved to Seattle to help Dizzy grow the business. GG is Miss Dizzy’s little sister! You could mix the two of them up because they look so much alike, but GG will remind you that she’s the YOUNGER sister. GG has her Bachelors degree in Business from Western Oregon University. Before working for the tumblebus she spent four years working in a childcare facility. She also has two little girls of her own, Bella and Gianna. GG’s favorite part of the job is just being able to spend time with the kids, and bring her own little girls to work whenever needed. GG works on the tumblebus and is also our birthday party coordinator, so you can plan on talking to her if you are having the tumblebus to celebrate an event! In her free time (not that she has much with two baby girls) GG likes to spend time with her family and shop, shop, shop
Miss Gwen
Gwen joined the Dizzybus Team in February 2008. She had another full time job, but wanted to work with kids so she joined our team as a Lead Party Instructor on the weekends. After four months of working weekends, she knew she wanted to work with kids all the time, so she joined us full time in June 2008. Gwen is originally from Springfield, Missouri. Gwen spent many hours while she was a teenager babysitting and giving horseback riding lessons to children. She graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelors degree in general studies. Her favorite part of working for the tumblebus is just getting to see all the smiling children, but secretly we think she just loves driving that big yellow bus all over town. When Gwen is not driving around on the tumblebus, she likes reading, writing, music, and spending time with friends. She also enjoys many outdoor activities such as swimming, biking, running, and rollerblading.
Mister James
James joined the Dizzybus Team in April 2008 when he joined Dizzy on a cross country road trip to pick up our new Tumblebus from Oklahoma. He spent the next two months helping Dizzy convert the old school bus into the fabulous new Tumblebus you see on the road. While he was working on the bus conversion we had him help out with a few classes and he fell in love with teaching the kids, so he packed his bags and moved here from Portland, Oregon. He has his Associates Degree in the Field of Optics. James is the youngest in a family of eight siblings and has spent a lot of time watching his many nieces and nephews. He has enjoyed being around children his whole life. His favorite part about working for the tumblebus is making the kids laugh and love every moment they’re on the tumblebus. In his free time James likes to play golf and spend time with his family. Speaking of family, if James seems to have a familiar face it is because he is Miss Dizzy’s little brother!
Miss Kelsea
Kelsea is the newest member on the Dizzybus Team when she joined us in October 2008. She has grown up in Washington and is originally from the Issaquah area. She has her BA in Visual Arts from the University of Washington. Before working at the tumblebus Kelsea led the story time at Barnes and Noble, helped with art classes for elementary aged students and spent a lot of time with her now nine year old niece. Her favorite part of the tumblebus is getting to know the personalities of each child and helping them get their wiggles out. In her extra time Kelsea enjoys doing art such as painting, sketching, and working with pastels. She also likes hiking.

Miss Amy
Amy has been with the Dizzybus Team since November 2008. Originally born in Geneva, NY but raised in Northridge, CA, Amy brings with her a BA in Child Development, training in Special Education, and almost 20 years of teaching preschool! Amy is also mom to two fabulous kids, Jake (8) and Rebecca (3), so nothing can surprise this crafty lady! Amy loves coming to the Bus Stop and watching kids master a new skill, especially seeing pure joy on their faces! When she’s not leading the fun at the Bus Stop, Amy loves to make cards and celebrate any occasion she can—believe us, she’s the Queen of birthday party planning!
Miss Alexa
Alexa joined our Tumblebus team in March of 2009. She’s a local lady from Redmond with a degree in Recreation and Tourism Management (with a focus on Youth Recreation) from Central Washington University. Kids indoors, kids outdoors, kids in summer camps, kids in classrooms… you name it, Alexa’s been there! Her niece and nephew are also pre-school aged, so the Tumblebus kids are like family! Alexa is a true Northwest spirit: snowboarding, hiking, camping, kayaking and rafting are only a few of her hobbies, and if she’s not doing that you’ll probably find her spending time with her friends and family.
Miss Alyssa
Alyssa is the newest face at the Bus Stop. She hails from Moscow, Idaho, and has a BS from Washington State University in General Sciences, with a focus on Sociology and Women’s Studies. She’s a worldwide traveler with a Semester at Sea under her belt as well. Not only does Alyssa have her own son Barry (3 years old), but with 2 younger sisters, babysitting, camp counseling and pre-school volunteer work, she’s got games, tricks and fun to spare! (Although she says it’s because she likes to act like a kid!!) Alyssa loves seeing kids learn new skills, and seeing their eyes light up with excitement. When she’s not at the Bus Stop teaching kids, you might find her reading, cooking, skiing or swimming, and definitely playing with Barry!
